On Nov. 20, the Mariposa FFA Chapter welcomed two special guests. California FFA State Vice President Noah Kamea and State Sentinel Sophia Camou.

The officers spent the entire day in agriculture classrooms at Mariposa County High School, leading hands-on workshops, sharing their personal FFA journeys and connecting with students through meaningful conversations.

Throughout the visit, Kamea and Camou focused on leadership development, teamwork and the power of finding purpose within agricultural education.

Their stories about overcoming challenges, taking opportunities and discovering confidence through FFA resonated deeply with members.

Students described the workshops as both motivating and refreshing, noting that the officers’ authenticity made a lasting impact.

Advisors said the visit brought positive energy to the program and encouraged students to continue pursuing new experiences within FFA whether through competitions, SAE projects or leadership roles.

We’re incredibly grateful that Noah and Sophia made the trip to Mariposa,” the chapter shared.

Their leadership and genuine encouragement inspired our members in a way we won’t forget.

The Mariposa FFA Chapter looks forward to seeing both officers again at upcoming regional and state FFA conferences.
