Sheriff needs to resign

musicWave

Editor,

I believe Sheriff Jeremy Briese should resign, or at best publicly apologize for essentially blaming the defenseless members of our homeless community for burning Mariposa to the ground.

Consider that this is going to impact people who have done nothing wrong. But our foolish and dangerous sheriff does not give a hoot about what he potentially has done to further harm the vulnerable homeless.

The homeless just can’t catch a break. Now they are being treated with more hatred in this community than ever. I didn’t think that was possible. Might as well just lock them up.

I didn’t think Briese was that desperate. Or low. The Gazette should be ashamed, as well, for allowing this to actually be printed like it was good for us to vilify those among us who suffer their fair share already. Reality be dammed.

Keep your twisted attempt to satisfy the political will of this community by making hurtful remarks that were his own fears. It was gutless and shameful, sheriff. I’m disappointed that you would do such a thing.

Resign, and the sooner the better. You’re really quite cruel. Where is your empathy? Apparently not from good sense.

I know, get out ahead of a possible disaster, you are not acting in private or off the record .You have influence, it lacks facts and is the worst kind of government projection I’ve seen. Simply wrong.

You represent the people on the street, as well, or did you forget?
