Rhonda Lynn Turner-Shackleton, of Catheys Valley, passed away peacefully on Nov. 5, 2025 at the age of 64.

Rhonda was born in Yosemite Valley, Calif., on Feb. 10, 1961, to “Dee” Dolores J. (Turner) Johnson and Norman D. Turner.

Rhonda graduated from Loma Linda University with a degree in health sciences and a specialization in MRI. She went on to make a career in MRI both as a professional imaging technician and as a trainer for Siemens Health.

The Merced River and Yosemite held a special place in her heart, and she often reminisced about her time spent there and dreamed of returning.

Rhonda delighted in spotting and identifying the birds, flowers and flora found in California and her travels. She loved birdwatching and introduced family members to the hobby.

Rhonda is survived by her beloved mother, “Dee” Dolores J. (Turner) Johnson and her siblings, “Sher” Sherry G. Turner, Mark O. Turner and Craig S. Turner.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman D. Turner.

Rhonda will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister and aunt. She adored her fuzzy friends and is survived by her cat, FuzzButt, a name that brought her a giggle whenever she said it.

A private memorial and scattering will be held. Interested persons may contact her sister for details.
