Request for Proposals: Stumpfield Fuel Break Maintenance needed

The Mariposa Fire Safe Council (MFSC) is accepting proposals from qualified contractors for approximately 192 acres of fuels reduction thinning on one fuel break located along Stumpfield Mountain Road in Mariposa County.

This work is funded through Sierra Nevada Conservancy Agreement #1814.

Contract will involve reducing ladder fuels, thinning dense brush and small-diameter trees, removing dead, dying, diseased, or structurally compromised vegetation where directed and improving horizontal and vertical fuel separation.

Work will take place on private land and is subject to environmental and cultural resource requirements.

Contractors must hold a valid California contractor’s license and have experience with fuel break contracts.

Prospective bidders are required to attend a pre-bid site visit to have their bid considered.

The pre-bid site visit will take place on July 23, at 9:30 a.m. at Stumpfield Mountain Road and Highway 49 intersection.
