Registration open for Mariposa Soccer Adult League, Futsal

Registration is now open for Mariposa Soccer League’s Adult League as well as the indoor season of Futsal.

Adult League

Mariposa’s Adult Soccer League is a fun eight-weekend pick up league, which runs Jan. 11 through March 2.

The league is for adults ages 18-plus. Games are hosted at Woodland Soccer Field and teams play 7v7 or 9v9, depending on what the two teams decide.

Each player will have to fill out a liability waiver, waiving the league of any liability.

Organizers will announce teams during the first week of January.

Each team should have 12-20-plus players, allowing some players to miss a weekend or two here and there to make the commitment less burdensome.

This year there will be referees and an indoor space to use as a back up in the event of inclement weather and field closures.

The cost to register for Adult League is $50 per player and includes a jersey and paid referees.

Futsal

Registration is now live through Nov. 15 for the popular futsal (indoor soccer) program.

The cost is $50 per player to play for a mini six-week season.

Futsal is fast-paced, played on a basketball court using the court lines (not off of the wall).

The Futsal season includes a one-hour session on Sundays.

Game dates are Dec. 7, Dec. 14, Dec. 21 and Jan. 4, Jan. 11 and Jan. 18.

Age and gender specific sessions will occur when possible.

Futsal provides greater opportunities for players to build their skills, such as ball control, dribbling, passing and shooting accuracy as well as tactical awareness.

The Mariposa Soccer Futsal program is an opportunity for players to hone their skills, stay active and enjoy the game during the season between the fall and spring programs.
