Register now for Lifeguard certification course April 6-9

Mariposa County Parks and Recreation is gearing up for fun in the sun this coming summer.

The organization will be offering lifeguard training to get new and returning lifeguards certified in time for the summer season.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification will take place at the Mariposa County Pool April 6-9.

A pre-req swim test will take place on April 6 from 3-4 p.m. followed by the lifeguard certification course taking place April 7-9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The cost is $250 which will be waived for those seeking employment with Mariposa County Parks and Recreation.

To apply, stop by the Mariposa County Parks and Recreation office (4998 County Park Road) to complete a registration form.

Anyone under the age of 18 is required to have parent/guardian consent.
