The Mariposa Agri-Nature Association is planning the 18th Farm and Ranch Tour to be held Oct. 10.

Many are familiar with this educational farm and nature tour which highlights local farms and ranches.

We want to welcome others to a day in the country visiting farms and talking with the property owners about their journey in agriculture, whether for profit or personal use. We all know how wonderful home-grown tomatoes taste,” said Kris Casto, one of the event organizers.

This year the planning team is searching for new farms and ranches, as well as other vendors and organizations who are interested in participating.

Someone may have a location to showcase with the community and share farming stories through tours and talks. Or someone may be a farmer who would like a booth at one of the locations.

Vendors may include artists, folks who make products, such as those made from natural materials. Organizers welcome vendors who would like to offer goods for sale.

Anyone involved in a nonprofit, educational organization or work with the county, organizers are seeking participants who would like to make a presentation, set up an informational booth or host a practical session.

This year, Dr. Sara Rosenberg, the UCCE Regenerative Agriculture Advisor, is a new member of the planning committee.

She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion around sustainable farming, local food systems and community development,” said Casto.

The Farm and Ranch committee is beginning to prepare for the 2026 Agri-Nature tour and you are interested in participating email Sara Rosenberg at srosenberg@ucanr.edu or call Casto (209) 810-7154.
