The annual Rotary Club of Mariposa Yosemite Golf Tournament took place this past weekend at River Creek Golf Course in Coarsegold. Each year, the tournament draws golfers from around the region and is for a good cause. The Rotary Club raises money for a wide variety of projects, including the annual scholarships awarded to local high school students. “It went very well,” said Randy Brower, the chair of the golf event and a longtime member of the club. The winning team was Keith Williams Excavating from Mariposa. Clockwise from top left, Rotarian Steve Dahlem checks in golfers at the clubhouse prior to last Saturday’s event; Larry Harris takes a big swing off the tee during the tournament; Kevin Cann is shown lining up his ball during action at the annual event. Organizers credited a long list of sponsors who help with the event as well as the many Rotary members who take time not only to golf, but to organize the tournament.
