JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Dec. 8 – No bookings to report.

Dec. 9 – No bookings to report.

Dec. 10 – Jason Kenneth Holmes, 55, Mariposa, was arrested for disorderly conduct involving alcohol.

Dec. 11 – No bookings to report.

Dec. 12 – Richard Hanna, 58, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and violation of Post Release Community Supervision. • Thomas Tyler Lovelady, 36, Chowchilla, was arrested for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher.

Dec. 13 – No bookings to report.

Dec. 14 – Kayla Marie Lawrence, 23, Mariposa, was arrested for disorderly conduct involving alcohol.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

Dec. 8 – A juvenile was refusing to obey on Jones Street in Mariposa. • Petty theft occurred on Hirsch Road in Woodland. • Smoke was seen in the Bald Rock area in Ponderosa Basin. • Threats were reported on Highway 140 in Catheys Valley. • A domestic disturbance occurred on Grist Road in Mariposa.

Dec. 9 – An animal was reported on Snyder Ridge Road in Jerseydale. • Someone was driving under the influence on Highway 49 and Darrah Road in Bootjack. • Harassing by electronic communication was reported on Creek View Drive in Woodland. • Trespassing occurred on Sherrod Road in Bootjack. • Vandalism was reported on Whispering Pines Road in Bootjack.

Dec. 10 – Threats were reported on Mercado Drive in Don Pedro. • A fire occurred east of Westfall Road in Mariposa. • Smoke was seen on Tip Top Road in Woodland. • A suspicious person was reported on Highway 49 North in Mt. Bullion. • Someone was reported missing on Sierra Pines Drive in Mariposa.

Dec. 11 – Suspicious circumstances were reported on Ashworth Road in Bootjack. • A house check was requested on Carstens Road in Midpines. • A runaway was reported on Ben Hur Road in Mariposa. • A welfare check was requested on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • Trespassing occurred on Indian Rock Lane in Bootjack.

Dec. 12 – A violation of a court order occurred on 10th Street in Mariposa. • A traffic stop occurred on Highway 49 South and Hirsch Road in Woodland. • Mail theft was reported on Highway 49 North in Mt. Bullion. • A burglar alarm was reported on Highway 49 North in Mariposa. • A fire was reported on Joe Howard Street in Mariposa.

Dec. 13 – Assault/battery occurred on Snyder Ridge Road in Mariposa. • A welfare check was requested on Lakeside Road in Midpines. • A traffic collision occurred on Bull Creek Road in Mariposa. • A fire was reported on Burl Drive in Mariposa. • A prowler was reported on Mt. Bullion Cut-off Road in Mt. Bullion.

Dec. 14 – A traffic hazard was reported on Hornitos Road in Hornitos. • Petty theft occurred on Bumguardner Mountain Road in Mariposa. • Unsafe shooting was reported in Don Pedro. • Vandalism occurred on Live Oak Road in Mariposa. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Van Ness Road in Bootjack.

The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
