JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Oct. 20 – No bookings to report.

Oct. 21 – No bookings to report.

Oct. 22 – Lee Dexter Kawelmacher, 51, Mariposa, was arrested for a probation violation. • Claire Baxter Norville, 38, Huntington Beach, was arrested for domestic battery and making a criminal threat in Yosemite National Park.

Oct. 23 – No bookings to report.

Oct. 24 – Lindsey Nichole Botta, 35, Northfork, was arrested for domestic battery.

Oct. 25 – Natalie Zeitz, 34, Moab, Utah, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Oct. 26 – Anthony Richard Oates, 38, Mariposa, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

SHERIFF’S DAILY LOG

Oct. 20 – Disturbing the peace was reported on Darrah Road in Bootjack. • Vandalism occurred on 10th Street in Mariposa. • A fire occurred on Old Highway North in Mariposa. • A health and safety violation was reported on Red Hawk Lane in Bootjack. • A domestic disturbance was reported on Jalapa Way in Don Pedro. • Disturbing the peace occurred on Dogtown Road in Coulterville.

Oct. 21 – A welfare check occurred on Rosa Court in Don Pedro. • A fire was reported on Reiff Way in Greeley Hill. • Petty theft occurred on Scott Road in Jerseydale. • A stolen vehicle was reported on Sherlock Road in Midpines. • Someone saw smoke on Chowchilla Court in Ponderosa Basin. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Oak Grove School Road in Mariposa.

Oct. 22 – A traffic hazard was reported on Henness Ridge Road in Yosemite. • Disturbing the peace was reported on Highway 140 in Catheys Valley. • Petty theft occurred on Coakley Circle in Mariposa. • Fraud was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • Mail theft occurred on Martin Road in Mariposa. • A runaway was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa.

Oct. 23 – Extra patrol was requested on Hornitos Road in Catheys Valley. • A vehicle check occurred on Bootjack Lane in Bootjack. • An ambulance was requested on Violeta Way in Don Pedro. • Repossession occurred on Gunther Road in Woodland. • A fire was reported on Narcisco Way in Don Pedro. • A juvenile was refusing to obey on Old Highway North in Mariposa.

Oct. 24 – Burglary occurred at the trailer park in Mariposa. • Trespassing was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Elder/dependent adult abuse was reported on Adelfa Street in Don Pedro. • A fire occurred on Miami Mountain Road in Mariposa. • A scam was reported on Indian Peak Road in Bootjack. • A violation of a court order occurred on Smith Road in Mariposa.

Oct. 25 – A juvenile was refusing to obey on Sebastopol Road in Bootjack. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Standen Park Road in Mariposa. • Threats were made on Highway 49 in Mariposa. • Trespassing was reported on Colorado Road in Midpines. • Grand theft occurred on Smith Station Road in Greeley Hill. • A 911 misdial occurred on Mariposa Grove in Mariposa.

Oct. 26 – Violation of a court order occurred on 10th Street in Mariposa. • A burglar alarm occurred on 8th Street in Mariposa. • An ambulance was requested on Bear Valley Road in Bear Valley. • A suspicious person was reported on Jones Street in Mariposa. • Assault/battery occurred on Highway 49 in Mariposa. • Disturbing the peace was reported on Highway 140 in Midpines. The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
