JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

March 31 – No bookings.

April 1 – Daniel Clayton Alsup, 37, Mariposa, was arrested in a flash incarceration .

April 2 – No bookings.

April 3 – Naomi Lynette Arista, 25, Coulterville, was arrested for corporal injury.

April 4 – Ester Ann Baca, 47, Hayward, was arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. • Sebastian Moana Singer, 32, Mariposa, was arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance, grand theft of money/labor/property, exceeding a 55 mile-per-hour speed on a two-lane road, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, driving when his license was suspended due to reckless driving, committing mail theft, defrauding an innkeeper of at least $950, driving when his license was suspended due to DUI, driving while using a wireless phone and failure to appear.

April 5 – Justin Ricky Sutton, 25, Mariposa, was arrested for violating a domestic violence court order and disorderly conduct: alcohol.

April 6 – No bookings.

SHERIFF’S DAILY LOG

March 31 – A report was made of disturbing the peace on Coakley Circle in Mariposa. • Trespassing occurred on Varain Road in Mariposa. • Someone reported identity theft on Bullion Street in Mariposa. • Animal cruelty was reported on Pine Top Drive in Mariposa. • Assault and battery occurred on Guenthart Way in Catheys Valley.

April 1 – Fraud occurred on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • Vandalism occurred on Highway 49 South in Woodland. • A traffic collision occurred on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • Someone reported unauthorized use of a credit card/account on Usona Road in Woodland.

April 2 – Someone reported fraud on Peak View Road in Woodland. • A report was made of a suspicious person on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • A juvenile was in violation of the law on Old Highway North in Mariposa. • Suspicious circumstances occurred on Circle Drive in Mariposa.

April 3 – A traffic collision occurred in Bear Valley. • Vandalism was reported on Jessie Street in Mariposa. • A court order was reported to be violated on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • A domestic disturbance occurred on Ernst Road in Greeley Hill.

April 4 – A fire occurred on Highway 49 North in Mariposa. • A report was made of a domestic disturbance on Madison Avenue in Coulterville. • Suspicious circumstances occurred on 10th Street in Mariposa.

April 5 – A health and safety violation occurred in Mariposa County. • Reckless driving occurred in Ponderosa Basin. • Someone violated a court order on Highway 49 in Mariposa.

April 6 – Unsafe shooting occurred on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Ponderosa Basin. • A fire was reported in the Bear Valley Road area of Bear Valley. • Trespassing was reported on Wagner Road in Greeley Hill. The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
