JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Aug. 10 – Luis Raul Martinez, 43, Mariposa, was arrested on a probation violation.

Aug. 11 – Daniel Jonathan Hart, 34, Mariposa, was arrested for theft.

Aug. 12 – Ronald Powell Mccurdy, 37, Escalon, was arrested for vandalism/destroying property.

Aug. 13 – Ashley Bacon, 43, La Grange, was arrested for DUI/alcohol.

Aug. 14 – David Lawrence Carey, 61, Mariposa, was arrested for two counts of DUI/alcohol, unlawful use of a drivers license, driving on a suspended license with a DUI violation.

Aug. 15 – Casey McCready, 56, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance with two priors, giving false ID to a police officer, driving on a suspended license and post-release community supervision violation. • Andrew Chase Gaylord, 35, Oakhurst, was arrested for being prohibited of owning ammunition, possession of unlawful paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Aug. 16 – Kou Fang, 41, Fresno, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

Aug. 10 – Threats were reported on Highway 49 in Coulterville. • There was a burglary on Ashworth Road in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • Petty theft was investigated on Fairgrounds Road in Mariposa.

Aug. 11 – Deputies investigated a child abuse report on Meadow Lane in Lushmeadows. • Fraud was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Stalking was investigated on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • There were suspicious circumstances on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Ponderosa Basin.

Aug. 12 – A hit and run with property damage was reported on Mount Bullion Cut Off Road in Mt. Bullion. • Vandalism was investigated on Sierra Pines Drive in Mariposa. • There was a suspicious person on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Violation of a domestic violence order was investigated on Wilburs Way in Catheys Valley.

Aug. 13 – There was a domestic distrubance on Banderilla Drive in Don Pedro. • Harassment was reported on Oakridge Road in Woodland. • There was a suspicious person on Hornitos Road in Catheys Valley. • There was an assault and battery on Rancheria Creek Road in Midpines. • There was vandalism on Sierra Pines Drive in Mariposa. • A domestic disturbance was reported on Banderilla Drive in Don Pedro.

Aug. 14 – There was a domestic disturbance on Banderilla Drive in Don Pedro. • Petty theft was investigated on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Ponderosa Basin. • There was a burglary reported on Banderilla Drive in Don Pedro. • An assault and battery was reported on Main Street in Coulterville.

Aug. 15 – Vandalism was reported on Watt Road in Ponderosa Basin. • Fraud was investigated on Hidden Springs Road in Woodland. • Vandalism was reported on Darrah Road in Mariposa.

Aug. 16 – Assault and battery was investigated on Pilot Peak Road in Ponderosa Basin. • There was a burglary on Ashworth Road in Mariposa.

The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
