JAIL BOOKING REPORT
Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Aug. 2 – Jordan Andrew Portillo, 32, Bakersfield, was arrested for operation a vehicle under the influence, traffic control device violation and DUI, all in Yosemite National Park. • Franklin Curtis Teegardin, 62, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance. • Donna Louise Mancha, 61, Mariposa, was arrested for disorderly conduct: alcohol and fraudulently obtaining aid over $400.
Aug. 3 – Michael Cosmo May, 43, Midpines, was arrested on a warrant for threatening a crime.
Aug. 4 – Christian Kelley Lewis, 26, Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested for open container in a vehicle and DUI in Yosemite National Park. •Enrique Alvarez, 27, Ceres, was arrested for DUI.
Aug. 5 – Rebecca Ann Eubanks, 23, Mariposa, was arrested for unpermitted camping on public property, petty theft/retail and trespassing/refusing to leave property.
Aug. 6 – Jeffrey Keith Jones, 56, Mariposa, was arrested for spousal battery. • Jeffrey Alan Dias, 51, Merced, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance while armed, transporting a controlled substance, using a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, conspiracy to commit a crime, felony possession of a firearm, being prohibited from owning ammunition and possession of unlawful paraphernalia. • Shannon Marie Leque, 46, Mariposa, was arrested for transporting a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit a crime, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of unlawful paraphernalia and giving a false identification of a police officer. • Craig Randall Macneil, 54, Las Vegas, Nev., was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence and DUI in Yosemite National Park. • David Lawrence Carey, 61, Mariposa, was arrested for disorderly conduct: alcohol.
Aug. 7 – Eric Jonathan Spencer, 31, Mariposa, was arrested for child abuse, vandalism, tampering with fire protection equipment and disorderly conduct: alcohol. • Dilli Ram Khatiwoda, 36, Yosemite National Park, was arrested for disorderly conduct/obscene language, and being under the influence of a controlled substance in a national park.
Aug. 8 – James Michael Carr, 62, Coulterville, was arrested for failing to provide proof of residency.
SHERIFF’S REPORT
Aug. 3 – Reckless driving was reported at Ben Hur Road and Highway 49 South. • Grand theft was investigated on Stumpfield Mountain Road in Mariposa. • There was a suspicious vehicle on Wild Peach Road in Mariposa. • The coroner was requested on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Ponderosa Basin. • Elder abuse was reported on Cadena Way in Lake Don Pedro. • Illegal dumping was investigated on Quail Ridge Road in Bootjack. • Assault and battery was reported on Ben Hur Road in Mariposa. • Assault and battery was investigated on Ridge Top Road in Woodland.
Aug. 4 – Unauthorized use of a credit card was investigated on Bridgeport Drive in Mariposa. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Main Street in Coulterville. • Identify theft was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa.
Aug. 5 – The coroner was requested on Foresta Road in El Portal. • Identify theft was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • There was a suspicious vehicle on Campbell Way in Bootjack.
Aug. 6 – Fraud was reported on Deer Springs Road in Bootjack. • Trespassing was investigated on Darrah Road in Bootjack. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Ernst Road in Greeley Hill.
Aug. 7 – Illegal dumping was investigated on Fournier Road in Mariposa. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Buena Vista Drive in Lake Don Pedro. • There were suspicious circumstances investigated on Bullion Street in Mariposa.
Aug. 8 – A domestic disturbance was reported on Banderilla Drive in Lake Don Pedro.
• There was a domestic disturbance on Smith Station Road in Greeley Hill. •Threats were investigated on Converse Road in Greeley Hill. • Child abuse was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • A juvenile refusing to obey was reported on Creel Road in Ponderosa Basin.
Aug. 9 – There was a disabled vehicle on Highway 140 in El Portal. • Threats were reported on Wagner Road in Greeley Hill.
The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
