JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Feb. 9 – Chauncey Adolph Wolcott, 42, Mariposa, was arrested for battery. • Dilli R. Khatiwoda, 35, Yosemite National Park, was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance in Yosemite National Park.

Feb. 10 – Marcus Paul Wright, 59, Mariposa, was arrested for unlawfully making, selling or possessing a prohibited weapon and a probation violation. • Alexander Guyon Tapleras, 40, Mariposa, was arrested for child abuse and domestic battery. • Thomas Riley Norlund, 33, Mariposa, was arrested for flash incarceration due to a violation of Post Release Community Supervision.

Feb. 11 – Justin Steven Meisner, 50, Chatheys

Valley, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Feb. 12 – No bookings to report.

Feb. 13 – No bookings to report.

Feb. 14 – Shawn Spencer Hemphill, 22, Chicago, Ill., was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and operating a vehicle while under the influence in Yosemite National Park.

Feb. 15 – Joshua Heath Walker, 45, San Jose, was arrested for violating a protective order and disorderly conduct involving alcohol.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

Feb. 9 – A welfare check was requested on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Dogtown Road in Coulterville. • Assault/battery occurred on Old Toll Road in Mt. Bullion. • A fire was reported on Mormon Bar Crossing in Mariposa. • Elder/dependant adult abuse was reported on Trower Road in Catheys Valley.

Feb. 10 – An animal was reported on Jalapa Way in Don Pedro. • A scam occurred on Boyer Road in Woodland. • A health and safety violation was reported on Highway 49 in Mariposa. • Someone was disturbing the peace on Paraje Way in Don Pedro. • An ambulance was requested on Holtzel Road in Greeley Hill.

Feb. 11 – A traffic stop occurred on Highway 49 and Hirsch Road in Woodland. • Mail theft was reported on Heavenly Crest Road in Bootjack. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on School House Road in Catheys Valley. • Vandalism occurred on Fournier Road in Mariposa. • A juvenile was in violation of the law on Old Highway North in Mariposa.

Feb. 12 – Sheriff’s daily log not available.

Feb. 13 – A vehicle check occurred on Highway 132 in Coulterville. • Assault/battery occurred on Tip Top Road in Woodland. • A scam was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • Trespassing occurred on Bumguardner Mountain Road in Mariposa. • A welfare check was requested on Ernst Road in Greeley Hill.

Feb. 14 – A suspicious person was reported on Old Highway South in Catheys Valley. • A welfare check occurred on Dogtown Road in Greeley Hill. • A burglar alarm was reported on Jones Creek Road in Bootjack. • An animal was reported on Cuneo Road in Greeley Hill. • Harassment occurred on Ernst Road in Greeley Hill.

Feb. 15 – A fire was reported on El Toro Road in Catheys Valley. • A burglar alarm occurred on Fairgrounds Road in Mariposa. • Reckless driving was reported on Merced Falls Road and Coronado Drive in Don Pedro. • Someone was driving under the influence on Triangle Road in Midpines. • Someone was overdue to return on Big Oak Flat Road in Yosemite National Park.

The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
