The Mariposa County High School November career lunch featured representatives from NatureBridge as well as students who participated in a recent backpacking trip made possible by a grant from NatureBridge.
The NatureBridge representatives who spoke were Andres Escalante, one of the NatureBridge operations managers, Maddie Patton, Director of Outreach and Enrollment, and Corinne Dedine, Director.
Escalante spoke of his experiences, how he ended up in a career in outdoor education and what interested students have to do to have an outdoor education career.
MCHS students and faculty who attended Wildlink, the recent NatureBridge backpacking trip, also spoke about their experiences on the trip.
Wildlink is a partnership between the National Park Service, the Yosemite Conservancy and NatureBridge with the goal of expanding access and opportunity to public lands.
Students enjoyed pizza for lunch during the presentation.
