Mariposa Soccer League concluded its third season of recreation soccer last month.
The organization held their closing ceremony last weekend at Woodland Park where each athlete received a trophy and celebrated with their teams.
“We are really grateful for everyone’s continued support and for your trust in our board of directors’ vision of what this could be,” said league president, Kass Bissmeyer.
With over 450 players, more than 200 matches played, 50 plus sponsors, 50 coaches and 21 referees — there was a lot of coordination to make the season happen.
The league thanked the Board of Directors:
• Reghina Crump – Vice President
• Jenny Fouch – Treasurer
• Jess Force – Secretary
• Michael Bilodeau – Registrar and field liner
• Andrew Glikin – Head Referee
• Eric Bissmeyer – Equipment Coordinator
• Chuck Carter – field use coordinator
The league extended thanks to Mariposa Parks and Recreation and Mariposa County Unified School District for use of Woodland Park and Grizzly Field for practices and games.
The group thanked all referees, Tom Hull of Hisco Trophies, Walker Visuals Photography as well as parents/caregivers and the community for helping to make the league possible.
