Tradition continued last week at Mariposa Elementary School where students and staff honored veterans with their annual Veteran’s Day Commemoration.

An “Armed Forces Salute” played and veterans in attendance stood when their branch of service song played.

Miles Menetrey spoke on behalf of the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors.

I want to recognize all of those among us who have been part of this great brotherhood and sisterhood we call the U.S. military,” said Menetrey.

It is your service and sacrifice that has kept our country safe and free.
