The Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce presents the Merry Mountain Christmas Parade happening Dec. 13, at 5 p.m. through downtown Mariposa.

The theme this year is A Cowboy Christmas and the Chamber is accepting float entries for the parade through Dec. 11.

After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will meet the community on the Mariposa County Courthouse lawn for the annual tree lighting.

People can stay warm by the fire while Sierra Tel hands out books to local kids.

The Mariposa Lions Club will be providing free hot dogs, popcorn and hot chocolate to attendees.

Enjoy Santa’s Village where Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Club will be providing photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus as kids will have the chance to speak with the big man himself.

Float entry applications can be picked up at the Mariposa Visitor Center (5158 Highway 140).

To apply online, contact Kari Kisela at kari@mariposachamber.org or call (209) 966-2456.
