Do you have a hobby that you would love to share to the local youth?

Mariposa County 4-H 2025-26 program year will begin Oct. 1.

Projects the organization is looking for include sewing, cake decorating, shooting sports, small engines, stain glass, arts/crafts, automotive, woodworking, basket weaving and livestock.

Volunteers for 4-H must be age 18 or older, enroll, do live scan, do online volunteer training and pay an enrollment fee.

If you are interested or want more information, contact Ira Jones, 4-H Coordinator, at (209) 966-2417 or drop by the 4-H office located at 5009 Fairgrounds Road in Mariposa.

Volunteering offers numerous benefits, including personal fulfillment and skill development.

Studies show that volunteering can improve both physical and mental health, especially for older adults.
