There’s much to be proud of as Mariposa County High School celebrated fall sports athletes and their accomplishments last week at the end-of-season banquet.

Football

After a winless season in 2023-24, Grizzlies football took a step forward, going 2-4 in league action and were just shy of making the playoffs.

With a huge increase in numbers and incredible talent, the group has a young roster with many players returning next season as they continue to grow the program under head coach Chase Pometta.

Under head coach Holly Earling, the team has a core group returning next year, as well as a JV team full of impressive skills.

Awards for volleyball were earned by Emma Pioske, Mia Hansen, Gillian Pioske, Isabel Whited, Claire Bertram, Emelia Williams and Sage Hawley.
