Give the gift of art this year

This holiday season, the Mariposa County Arts Council invites you to give a gift that inspires creativity and strengthens the community.

Starting Nov. 14, the Arts Council is launching its Gift-A-Membership Holiday Drive, a chance to share the joy of art with someone special .

When you purchase a one-year membership for a loved one, co-worker, barista, boss, teacher or even yourself, you are giving a gift you will not find at Target or Amazon.

Each recipient will receive a beautifully designed welcome card in the mail featuring hand-drawn illustrations of local flora created by Arts Council staff artists.

Order by Dec. 15 to ensure cards arrive in time for Christmas.

This membership drive will run through Jan. 1.

Membership with the Arts Council means joining a community that believes art is for everyone and that creativity strengthens the heart of Mariposa.

Since 1981, the Arts Council has supported programs that uplift youth, amplify underrepresented voices and bring people together through art, from public art projects and arts education to creative place making and cultural events.

Today, the Arts Council provides direct arts education and experiences for hundreds of Mariposa residents, as well as public art spaces and exhibitions.

Without the support of members, none of this would be possible.

Purchasing a membership ensures continued arts education for school age youth, at-risk youth, incarcerated individuals and many others in the community, while supporting a thriving creative environment for everyone.

Give a gift that inspires, connects and lasts well beyond the holidays. Learn more and purchase a membership at www.mariposaartscouncil.org/gift-a-membership/
