Get on the bus this weekend as the Mariposa County Arts Council presents another round of free live performances at the Mariposa County Art Park in downtown Mariposa.
Jerry’s Briefcase returns to Music on the Green on Friday, Aug. 7.
This show is for Jerry Garcia, Grateful Dead, Phish and reggae fans. Jerry’s Briefcase is a jam band from Hanford that not only pays homage to the aforementioned bands but plays original music as well.
Groove Garden is a band from Mariposa composed of local musicians who have been playing around here longer than most.
They touch on classics from bands like The Beatles and perform originals inspired by punk, hard rock, blues and classic rock.
The band features Billy Dewitt on bass, Kyle Lindquist on drums and Cary Greenamyer on guitar. (See related story about Greenamyer and his family’s dogs.)
Performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located at 5013 Highway 140 in downtown Mariposa.
Parking is available along 4th and 5th streets, with accessible pedestrian access via the lower 5th Street parking lot through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
Tips for the performers are encouraged.
