Friendly visitor program is looking for volunteers

Mariposa County Health and Human Services is looking for participants and volunteer visitors for the Friendly Visitor Program.

The Friendly Visitor Program is a free service offered to the senior members (65 and older) of the community who are struggling with isolation and lack of social supports.

Through this program, the hope is to reduce depression and isolation while increasing community engagement and socialization.

Volunteers should be 18 years or older and have weekly availability for at least an hour visit.

This is a great opportunity for volunteer experience and to make a difference in someone’s life.
