The Mariposa County FFA chapter has been busy with events over the past several weeks.
Mariposa FFA had 16 freshmen kick off their FFA journey on Oct. 15 at the Greenhand Leadership Conference.
The event opened their eyes to how agriculture reaches far beyond farming.
It’s about leadership, growth and endless opportunities.
Students explored SAE projects, career pathways and learned how FFA builds confidence, skills and connections that will take them far in their high school and future careers.
Mariposa FFA made a powerful impression at the Sectional Opening and Closing Ceremonies on Sept. 24 at Atwater High School.
With eight teams competing, six freshman teams, one advanced team and the chapter officer team members showcased outstanding teamwork, leadership and professionalism.
Members who earned Outstanding Awards include Niama Garcia, Sofia Chavez, Gianna Garcia, Kenzie Allison, Mercy Wellcome, Tylie Allison, Kylee Hutchings, Kylie Williams, Mikaylee Martin, Dakota Costa and Kaleb Gomes.
