The Mariposa Arts Council is calling for submissions to their youth art show, In Frame.

The theme this year is ‘All Things Pass,’ and the deadline to submit is Jan. 9.

Submissions will only be accepted through the form on their website.

In Frame is a juried youth art show for any youth attending school in Mariposa County, ages 11 to 18.

This is a juried show which means that all submissions go through a panel of judges for review.

It is not a contest and there will not be prizes. However, if selected, the students’ art will be exhibited in Mariposa gallery spaces in the spring.

Works submitted must be flat, 8.5 x 11” and meet all the guidelines for submission in order to be considered.

A broad variety of two-dimensional media is encouraged including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital media, mixed media, collage, 2D fiber arts, etc.

This year’s theme, All Things Pass, is a prompt which intentionally holds multiple meanings, and we encourage artists to explore and express their own interpretation of the theme and demonstrate how they connect with this idea.

In Frame is an art show designed to empower young voices, to grow their skills and portfolios, and to recognize and celebrate them through a professional showcase.

More information and the submission form can be found on the Mariposa County Arts Council website at mariposaartscouncil.org/in-frame
