In the words of George RR Martin: “A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge.”
The Mariposa County Library is bringing the community a book club, but unlike most, this one is BYOB: Bring Your Own Book.
“The book club is a great way to discover new authors’ topics and connect with other readers,” said Sharon Peterson, the creator. “We feel this is a great way to discover new authors’ topics and connect with other readers.
What makes a BYOB club so great is that you get to read what you want. There is no obligation to read any particular book.”
Every third Wednesday at noon, bookworms will gather in the Mariposa County Library community room. It is free to attend.
Bring any recently read novel, any genre and any format, and share thoughts with the group. No registration is required.
If any questions arise, call the Mariposa County Library at (209) 966-2140.
